"Katie Jo & The Mijos is a country band from right here in Long Beach! Our song Crooked Lies is a response to how easy it is to create a self-confirming bias as individuals and as a society. Half-truths so quickly turn into seeds of distrust that jumble fact and fantasy in both national politics and an interpersonal scale. This song calls out the tendency to see only what you want to believe and resists the narrative of that self-confirming bias."
